Report
The Fuel Services Oilers and Lagan Valley Lions met in the Jet Centre, Coleraine to play a Challenge Match on 11 February 1991, to open the Centre, the second Ice Hockey venue in Ireland at the time after the Dundonald Ice Bowl.
Earlier the Phibsboro Flyers, from North Dublin travelled North to play two games against Northern Irish teams at Dundonald, losing to both the Belfast Panthers and Fuel Services Oilers.
The Matches were the prelude to the Coleraine Jets and Dublin Flyers joining the Irish Ice Hockey League in 1991-92.
